Heart-On for Soupfin – It’s hard to really call an animal with only one spot, a pie·bald type, but this is a first for me. The minute this beautiful tope shark was beached, it was noticed that it had a pigment less heart shaped spot on it’s lower body. A first for me and very cool to see. It will also help ID this shark if it is caught anywhere else and posted online as the information on this catch and release is listed on the Surf Shark spread sheet.
