March Madness.
With my surgery coming up, I have to take it easy, so trout fishing has been a great way to fill my time in with some quality fishing. The Lightning Trout have been on point this year, but most of the normal rainbows have been quality models between 1.75 and 3.5 pounds until now.
I had a good stringer and lost a couple of really quality fish to 3.5 pounds this day when my final fish pinned my rod and almost spooled me. On 4# test, it’s not easy fighting a larger model fish and you can only take back what he gives you. After a long battle, I slid the net under this 9.31# Rainbow! What a slug! I thought for sure I had my 10-pounder, but the scale doesn’t lie and my quest for the double digit local trout continues.
Follow the link to read all about the adventure and if you have a moment, take some time to sign up. It’s free and no one is ever hassled. If there is a problem signing up with the security questions, I’ll get the problem resolved. Too many “human” bots have been getting in and I constantly have to do my best to thwart them.
