Tried our luck from the shore and docks, plenty of 5Lb'ers cruising around but no players :( The twins had fun anyway and they have another trip under their belt ;)

That place is fishy, jump in a boat, 6# test, green pumpkin senkos, ikas. Pink n purple robos 4 or 6" drop shot or split shot. summers slow but if the weeds r up flyline them senkos n ikas in em and on the edges. Bass fishin can be tough to figure out but once u do its pretty much a science. Pretty pressured for trout but once it gets hot most folks leave Dixon to the catfishermen. Good luck, hopefully the lil experience I've had there will help next trip out. Workin structure and the grass around it is never a bad idea.

Thanks Josh, tried to keep the midgets occupied  in different water and they were not used to being on shore ??? We will give it another try since it's 10 minutes down the road 8)

Definitely, the closeness factor is a huge plus. Try in the afternoon one day after work 430ish til close that can be a super good TW bite in the dead of summer since all the big girls are down deep while its hot. Then like a switch they'll be up in the water collum closer to weeds and structure and come up on bluegill and shad, spooktastick!

Rasta has the local fw skills and sounds like it will help on your next adventure. You need to take the ads rack out tuna hunting this year though. It is shaping up to be epic inshore!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
