Tom's Surgery

Wishing you the best Brother.

Hopefully you got the gadget that pumps cold water through a pad you place on your shoulder or you have some great ice bags.

Keeping it cold helps with the pain and prevents swelling.

Take plenty of metamucil so you do not get all jammed up from the painkillers.

Thanks Chris.  Unfortunately for me, both shoulders have been repaired as well as double herniated disc surgery, a Tiger Bite, Multiple gorings, and now my guts decided to split through my stomach muscles.  Still, I look forward to some real drugs since I'm trying to quit booze again and could use a good numbing right about now.  hahaha

Thanks again and I guess I'll keep trout fishing until I get the green light to go for the big Bluefin if they happen to show up again.

Cheers!

I had hernia surgery last year.

Nowhere near as bad as shoulder surgery.

Put a soft pillow over your stomach area when you cough or laugh.

DO NOT grunt when you push a deuce out.

Long Day... They made me wait for 4 hours before bringing me back.  Woke up with what looks like they cut a 4" smiley face under my belly button.  Anyway, everything tucked back in where it belongs and some mesh to prevent it from coming back out.  Time to heal up so I can get out fishing again.

Koga was right.  Doesn't hurt as much as the shoulder, but painful in a totally different type of way.

Koga is always right.

P.S. Send me any extra painkillers you do not take.

Glad it went well for you. Hope it's a quick recovery!

Surgical stuff makes me queasy. Mesh hanging out of your belly gives me the heeby jeebies.

Hurts more than they advertised it would, but success, I guess.  I have a 3" smile now under my bellybutton.

Yesterday totally sucked, but I feel much better today which is a great sign.  It gave me time to write the "History Of" for the SNBF.  Drugs they gave me are pretty good, but terrible when it comes to constipation with a hernia repair.  Double edged sword.

I thought not being able to lift more than 10 pounds would be a cinch, but everything I see and look at requires bending and more than 10 pounds of lifting.  I'm going crazy over here, so I came into work today to get some things done.  I probably should be home resting, but no rest for the "wicked" I guess.
