Fletcher's Cove 02-23-2024
« on: February 29, 2024, 01:25:22 PM »
Took my son's surf fishing. Good thing I brought some market shrimp as the sandcrabs were non-existent. Quality over quantity that day.

1 - walleye
4 - bsp (all over 14")

Brought home the walleye and 2 bsp as they were gut hooked. Absolute rod benders and drag pullers on 6lb!! Saw a couple dredge boats pumping sand in the distance to replace lost sand due to beach erosion. Water was clear, but cold. Could see lots of kelp and misc "foliage" partially buried in the skinny by the sand they were pumping onto the beach. Lost several rigs due to it. Left phone at home.

Nice quality session. The big breeders seem to be moving in now.

Great seeing a report from you and still getting the kids out fishing!  Man, it's been many a moon since I caught some 14" perch.  lol
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
