Garden Destroyers
« on: March 26, 2023, 07:15:01 PM »
Man, I know it's that time of year, but all the work putting in those raised planters and the gophers were desperate to try and infiltrate.  They couldn't get through the concrete pavers below, but literally undercut all of the pavers f@cking things up.

I tried the gopher Hawk... Bzzzzzz   Fail

I tried two different typical spearing traps and that didn't work...

Then as I was cleaning the yard on Saturday, I saw his head popping up and down.  I bought an air rifle for this occasion a few years ago, but have yet to use it because my wife always seems to try and save any animal.  I kept my mouth closed, snuck into the gun safe, pulled out the pea shooter and just waited for the pop up.  I had to time him as he was popping right up and down every 2-3 seconds.  Well I timed it just right!  35 feet away and perfect hit!

It was more satisfying THAN i COULD EVER HAVE HOPED.  got on I never saw in a trap, AND NOW JUST WAITING FOR THE NEXT WAVE TRYING TO INFILTRATE the perimeter.  ;D

It might as well been a 14 point white tail, it was that satisfying.  lol

You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Sniper skills is what it takes sometimes. The THUD of impact is great satisfaction and this is just the beginning of Spring ;) Btw, I need to get busy and get my garden going, hopefully the last frost is behind us  :)
