Caught these 3 fish over the span of 3 days and two beach trips; only briefly interrupted by a shift at work in between. The first day, myself and my buddy Jack pulled up to the spot around sundown. Baits went out and after a 2 hour soak we finally got our first run right at low ride. Got what looked like a decent 7 gill to the beach but she spit the hook in the surf. More than a little frustrated I jumped back on the board and re-dropped the bait, about an hour after re baiting I finally hooked up to this 92" beauty! Less than 20 minutes after we released the first fish, the second dropped rod went off which ended up being a 62' soupfin. Called it for the night after that fish. Came back two days later with the same goal in mind and managed another soup on dropped baits. No luck on anything within ~200 yards of the beach.

6/18: 2-3ft surf / Waning gibbous / incoming tide / bonito
Seven gill - 92'
Soup - 66'

6/20:  2-3ft surf / Waning gibbous / incoming tide / bonito
Soup fin - 62'

 ;D ;D How would you know what one looks like?  All I've seen you catch from the surf is the bait.... hahahaha, yeah, It gets dark too late for this old man now.  I'll wait until fall now seeing that I have a new motor on the boat and need to break it in this summer!

Congrats Guys!  Man, that's killing it there.  I've heard from a bunch of people now that most of the sharks are further out than casting distance, but I'll still get my ass out there and try.
I'll get those babies on the Shark list this weekend and do a numbers check as you probably have enough to add to the top page of the counter.  8)
