Tri-Pod Ribs
« on: May 15, 2021, 08:12:46 AM »
It's been a while since I cooked over my pit but the weather was so nice I busted out the tri-pod and lit a fire 8) Loaded the 12'' deep ( deeper than a standard 12'' dutch ) with country style pork ribs, diced up onions garlic and peppers and smothered wit BBQ sauce. The oven was heavy so balance is important. Not sure why Lodge doesn't notch the bail on their ovens ::)

About an hour and a half into it I drained the extra juice and applied more sauce, didn't get a pic of that :)

Turned out great and Mongo learned a new way to cook ;D ;D

That's a great looking pit!  Ribs too!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Thanks, I got the bell end from a section of ductile iron pipe years ago at work. It makes a great fire ring and will last forever, the bricks are from Home Depot. I had to reassemble them and use Liquid Nails, Mongo kept knocking them over looking for lizards ;D
