11/22 Conditions Report
« on: November 23, 2014, 07:46:15 AM »
Wasn't going to post this because it isn't really a report...but hopefully it can save somebody a trip to the beach.

Met up with a buddy yesterday to fish for halibut. There was a huge tide swing but we wanted to give it a shot. TONS of kelp and grass in the water. Made 4 casts with the lucky craft.

Kelp.
Grass.
Kelp.
Grass.

Went to the bay and got some spotties.

Don't waste your time at the surf (at least from TP to the border). Get some trout instead or hit up the bay. 3" swimbaits was the winner. Good luck.

I'm glad I read this.  I was planning on hitting the surf or bay this morning when I changed my mind and went back to bed so I could catch up on some sleep.  I would have been pissed if I made it out to TP and just saw a ton of grass, so your post just put my mind at ease on my decision.  8)

Three day work week this week, so I will get plenty of Thanksfishing in!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
