Session interuptus
« on: August 29, 2016, 09:52:56 AM »
My second son, Carl, and I decided to try our luck at FI, on Saturday night. Late start but had some fresh frozen squid and little macs. Son is learning knots,so set up took a little longer but he is getting better. Soaked baits for about 1.5 hours with one breif run. Still dead there. Then I got a call that the first son was going to come home early from his Boy Scouts Order of the Arrow ordeal. It sent the family scrambling. Wife headed out to Mataguay while son and I pack up and head home. I can proudly say that my son, Micheal, is officially part of the Order of the Arrow. He conquered some fears on this campout. It was a good skunk.

Congrats to your son on his Order of the Arrow completion, and to your other son for his progress in fishing skills!  8)

Thanks for FI report. The asian market finally is selling the squid in the boxes again, so I may have to do a bay session again soon. Congrats on your son's accomplishments.

Thank you guys. I am quite proud of them as they are of themselves.
We agreed to do a redo at the fishing and hit the beach. We've been 0 for forever at the bay. Water is still warm in there. I am just apprehensive to fish the beach. I fear our gear is too light. Just got to keep trying.

What market are you finding squid at? I tried Zion but no luck. Thanks

Congrats to Carl on the arrow!  Having your kid conquer any fears is a huge accomplishment.  I'm still working on my daughter's fears, but they almost seem to be endless.  lol
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

What you use in the bay is fine for the surf.
