There's a very cool Book on the LA River by a guy named Christopher Brand. It's kind of an art book/documentary. The guy is a high end tatoo artist and his art is very dark and creepy. He did the book as a side project and pretty much just walked the river everyday documenting/photographing/drawing all the cool sh!t he saw.

I'm at work up in Carpinteria.  Raining like nuts here too.  I'm hoping the mountain doesn't come down on the 101 before get home tonight!

Im thinking it deffinately will within these next couple months . I'd be concerned if I lived in la conchita. That mountainside has come down on the homes in the past.

Didn't they just have a fire right up there too? Or was that closer to Santa Barbara. It's never good for rain when the vegetation all gets burned up.

Hmmmm... What about the possibilities of using it for surf sharking?

Fishing Talk / Re: Surf fishing blows. Is it the curse of the red crab?

We don't have those particular crabs up here (that I know of) and fishing hasn't been any better than down there, so I have to lean towards those crabs not really being the problem. Not that I've actually got to fish much lately though, maybe fishing is great up here and I just don't know it!

Or a flat fall a couple miles offshore.

Who the f kayaks a couple miles off shore, f that! If the fish(sharks) are possibly bigger than your boat than its not my idea fun.

Mother Nature giving a big F.U. to Prius owners and C.A.R.B.  ;D

Not really Mother Nature so much as human error.. But I'll second the f.u. To Prius drivers as they always seem to be the ones driving like a-holes!

Nvm, apparently it's the same thing. Didn't realize that area was called Aliso Canyon also. I've been hearing about the "porter ranch" leak for a while now.
