Cool insight Mike. Looks like a sexier version of the aftermarket Sealine frames.

I spy exposed hardware inside of the gear box. I assume it holds the handle shaft?

Dolphin out of Fishermans... used to hate this boat, crew, and captain when it ran out of Islandia. Since their move to Fishermans I gave them a try they have earned back my business. Big boat great platform. Crew is cool.

Daily Double out of Pt Loma... Been years since I set foot on her. But never had a bad trip. Smaller boat lower to the water. Captain Fred is legit very good with rookie anglers.

Premier out of H&M... Big boat low to the water. Wide walkaround space. Haven't fished it enough to form a solid opinion but I have fished a few trips with one of the captains, Kevin. He always ran a good trip.

New Seaforth out of Seaforth... Sister boat to the Dolphin same layout but bigger bait tank. Been a few years since I rode on it so can't say how it is now. But definitely had fun trips when RJ was at the helm.

Chubasco II out of Sportsmans... Cool crew. Smaller boat. Best burger hands down. Different captain everytime I've been on her but all of them get a thumbs up.

Watch the counts. My go to out of the big bay is the Dolphin. And Chubasco II out of MB.

That's some good stuff there that will catch up to you for sure Ben.  I've been bitten by a tiger, gored 3 times by antelope, trampled more times than I remember, Bitten by a big piranha, fell through a steel catwalk at a giraffe immobilization and fell 20 feet hitting every steel rung on the ladder, speared by 120# bat ray just missing my femoral arty and almost killed twice by Rhinos.

And that's just what happens in the bedroom!  :o

The cook was saying she had to use coolers for the food when they did a 2.5 day. Guess I need to try on the bunks next time I go.

I'm sure uncle Frank won't mind dropping a couple bucks for a chest freezer. Plenty room upper deck if needed. Could even fit a jacuzzi up there too. Though will have to twist some arms for that one.  ;D

You did better than I did. When I went I overheard the crew talking about possible longer trips in the off season. Colonet maybe? It's seriously overkill for a 3/4 day boat. Gives a lot of short and medium range boats a run for their money.

I wish! 5 dollar bunks are worth it for the long offshore rides. Funny when lunch time rolls around. Sara ( the cook? ) had to kick out the galley sleepers so people can sit and eat their burgers.

What was the Liberty before it was the Liberty?

The Liberty before the Liberty was the Liberty. Came from 22nd St Landing. Except now it has some 6 figures worth of renovations.

Seeker recently sold again. Not sure what's next for them.

Calstar... Leon's health hasn't allowed him to crack the whip like he used to. Squidco recently got some in but didn't see any jigsticks.

That said I'm seeing a lot of United Composites come across the bench lately and daaaaamn these are nice. Randy is killing it over there. Slowly building up my UC arsenal.

WTG on the hand off. You totally made someone's trip.

I was on the Liberty a week before. The bunks make a great refuge to get away from the kooks.  ;D
