What are your thoughts on possible 11-12ft casting rods? I'm trying to keep the budget to $100-150 and looking to target rays and sharks. Debating between casting vs. spinning rods. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Just my luck, I leave... you catch. It must be stench of skunk that's been surrounding me for a few weeks now I'm so due!

We posted up in the back bay for nada!! We had the chance to make a move, but my Weber bonfire was already roaring and keeping us warm, so, we toughed it out. Should of went with plan A...

Mike...brought the skunk to the back bay with him.  J/k

Look forward to the next time to soak some bait. I'll bring the short rod to target the silver next time.
