General Board / Trapping

Trapping squirrels has been a constant chore around here, they are so destructive

Last year I trapped over 100 of them and I pretty much was squirrel free, but they are getting brave again so it was time to put out the bait

(chicken scratch and fresh fruit ). This squirrel wont get any aluminum shampoo from me, he gets a lead facial

Fishing Talk / No bananas

Yesterday on our way to MB with the twins, I asked my wife what she brought for snacks. She packed the usual goodies for the day, then I remembered we had gone grocery shopping on Saturday. I recall seeing bananas in the kitchen, so I said '' YOU DIDN'T BRING ANY BANANAS DID YOU ?" Yes she did and I gave her the look

I explained the curse to her and the twins and told her to leave the bananas in the truck. The fishing was good but a few slow periods, and that's when Max pipes up and says we weren't catching fish cause mom brought bananas.

I laughed and thought this kid is going to go to school and tell all his buddies how bad bananas are !

Last weekend Myles didn't get to fish cause he was sick, so he made up for it today

Max got in on the action too

They had a great day on the water with me and my wife

The Rack ran great and I got fish too

Had 3 generations on the Rack today and my youngest got his 1st spotty

Measured at 13''

Everyone got in on the action

Gramps was enjoying being driven around the Bay with his Grandkids, the bummer was that one of the twins couldn't join in today cause he was at home with a fever

What's a report without a few Bendo shots ?

I let Gilligan show Max how to load the boat

Another fun day.......20 Spotties on white spinner baits and BH swimmies, all sizes from dinks to 15''

General Board / Bass Pro Shops

Went to BPS today with my neighbor, he was picking up a shotgun and I was going to use 4 gift cards from Christmas. I picked up a 6' ugly stik, some spinner bait skirts, a spinner bait box, a new strap for the trailer winch, some 3'' BH swim baits and 2 new seats for the Ass Rack. Left VC at 8:30am, back home at 3pm, rained the whole time.

Saltwater Boat Fishing Reports / Dad's First MB Trip

Took my dad to MB today for some spotty action and he hooks up in the first 5 minutes

I didn't get the biggest but I did get 23 of them today

all about the same size too

Dad and I lost some and had bites at the boat with the white spinner bait.

My dad got the only Calico of the day, but we had a blast cause nobody was there, we had the Bay to ourselves

Can't wait to take him back again, it was a good day

Launched the Ass Rack from South Shores with my neighbor Bruce on Saturday. He scored 2 right away on a white spinner bait, then I got 2 as well. We put a few miles on the boat, but the fish were scattered here and there. I ended the day with 5 and we made our way home, it was a nice day on the water
