I've only hunted the Eocene once in Utah and didn't know of any down in this neck of the woods, but found some outcropping that contains material from this epoch.

I'll update as I clean some stuff up, but here is what looks like a tooth and maybe even an astragalus from an oreodont?

And a spine from something.  I was hoping mammal at first, but the more I look at the tiny rib bones and strange vertebrae, it may be a snake?  It will take months for me to properly clean up though.

It felt good swinging a pick again... until the next morning when my body aches reminded me for all the pleasure of the hunt, I now have to pay with an equal amount of pain for the opportunity.  hahahaha

Have you seen that dinosaur fossil show on the discovery channel? Pretty cool to see them finding T-Rex fossils.

Yep! I have mixed emotions about it, but it's a good watch.
