So, I think I shared the last time I cleaned a piranha head and glued all the bones back together to make a cool looking skull. I just got another head and I didn't feel like going through that long process again, but wanted to try something for a while that I saw on the internet a while ago.... Mummifying Fish. I have a mummified alligator skull and thought it would be cool to have a mummified Piranha head right next to it
It has been through 2 Kosher salt immersions over the last two months and now is going to the Baking Soda phase. It should be done in a month and I'm stoked to see what it is going to finally look like. I'll share when completed, but I kind of like this head shrinking experiment!

I just did a dessicate change and got to look for it. It's pretty awesome. 11 more days before unveiling!

Came out pretty good. I even added some eyes and it looks a little disturbing... like if you could make 2020 into a fish, this would be it.
