A friend is going to be in town on Sat, Oct 28th and booked a 4 pack charter with Long Run Sportfishing. He wants to fish the kelp beds and target a variety of species. It's not exactly cheap, but I told him I'd go with him. We have 2 spots available for anyone who's interested. Total cost is $600 for 6 hrs (morning), so $150 per person. My friend won't be able to keep his fish since he's leaving the next day, so you can probably come home with a few extra fish. Let me know if you'd like to join!

Has anyone taken you up on it yet? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be up in Valley Center that weekend, but hopefully the fishing is good for you and you get the 2 spots filled.
That will be a great shot at a sheepshead. Bring market shrimp.

Not yet. I'll give it some more time here, but then I may need to advertise to a wider audience.
A sheephead would definitely be cool. I will bring shrimp!

We upgraded to a 6-pack because bigminnowfisher and his gf and Ruoxi all want to go as well. So now we have 5 people planning to go and 1 spot available. Cost per person is the same as before ($150).
