Binh and I hit up Ocean Beach this morning. We got a couple of bonita but were having a hard time hooking mackerel even though kids around us were catching a bunch of small ones.

On the walk back I dropped my bait down and picked up a lifer sargo! (#461)

And then at the base of the pier I dropped down again and scored another lifer, dwarf surfperch. (#462)

The rocky area at the base of the pier looks good, will have to go back sometime and spend more time there.

Hey we caught one decent size mac and a couple of nice size Bonitos. It was't wide open but I was targeting bonitos with the splasher rig anyways. :P
