Still out here but trying to make bait with a carp line a 3 to 4 lb cat grabbed it.

Still count but a bit odd to catch the target on the bait making rod

Loaded for it but have not had any luck getting small carp or other live bait when out there.  >:( Got a hole picked out and everything.

I'll trade my 15lb channel for that flat head any day.

It was a 20+ pound flathead and swear it fought like a yellowtail.  It hit a mack head in the middle of the night of all things.  Freshwater Mud Marlin.  I got 3 that night, 20, 15, 12 pounds besides channels up to 10.

Sorry to thread jack you Jim.  All this Catfish talk has me wanting to catch a big kitty I guess.

No worries. Gotta seal the hull ribs on the Kitty this weekend so it can be ready for next Sunday to test drive with the 14 pitch prop. If the damn rain holds off.
