Long story short. Went on a run looking for yellows a while back that I forgot to post. Conditions were about the same, only a lot less bait in the water and more floating crap.
We did manage some bait and I even caught some good shark bait.
Made multiple moves and cast the small iron looking to critter fish while we soaked our lively macks. Found a different area with some great structure and did pretty good all things considered.
All metal fish, not cut baits or scents used.
I watched a triggerfish follow the sargo up as I was fighting him. It was so cool and I'm not sure what it was trying to do as it just swam really close and follwed him the whole way.
Squatch got a goody of a WSB on a small iron.
I also caught a handful of calico on the hard baits and mackerel.
We started trolling back and Squatch got a screamer! It jumped and snapped his line, but it was a 100+ pound Thresher!
Not long after and my mackerel gets thumped super hard! Then the line starts screaming out sideways and the circle hook never sets, but another thresher apparently.
Oh well, it was still fun and now the water just about turned into winter temps, I'm not sure what is going on out there.
