Well sort of a Navajo knife. I just found this while cleaning up my Natural History Museum. It's from the Navajo Nation the last time I was rolling through over 20 years ago, but super cool as I couldn't find anything like it on the web. Local T-Rex Knife.
Long story, but I was heading up to some fossil grounds up in Montana and this was early in the road trip up there. I stopped to check out some roadside attraction in the Nation and was literally rolled up on by a shady Navajo guy trying to press me into into buying weed and god knows what else. When I said No-Thanks, I got the "You Owe Me!!!" I saw the knife hanging from his belt loop and said, "How much for that knife"... He said $5 and a bottle of water... Where the hell am I again??? I gave him $5 and 2 bottles of water and exchanged it for the knife and off he went literally to go after some other unsuspecting characters. Weird sh!t at the time, but pretty funny story here 20+ years later. Now I have it properly hanging in my Natural History Museum.
I wonder if it's worth more than $5 and 2 bottles of water these days. hahahaha
