Bass and the Lone Butt (1/30)
« on: January 30, 2016, 02:12:15 PM »
I thought I was going to meet Dave down at the lake for a little trout fishing from shore, but Dave was not into dropping money to sit on a shoreline.  Instead we met up down at the bay with our bass gear and do a little "Free" fishing.
I was using a little darher swimmy since it was windy, cold, foggy ad misty out.  I loaded up the swimmy with "Butt Juice" from Promar and let the catching commence.  Well, we only fished his spot for an hour since the rocks were slipperey as hell and I didn't want to kill myself over a bass.

First Cast Bass

I caught 3 and lost 6.  Dave just stared at the bay since it wasn't east to be mobile on the wet rocks.

Lots of Jellies around and lots of heavy surge back in the bay!  Lots of energy out there.

We made a move and on my second cast, I got my nicest one of the day.

We then head to the Island and get nothing on our first 3 stops and on the final stop, Dave catches a 20" butt that grabs his swimmy 10 feet from the shoreline.  Dave wasn't into the picture so shook it off on the shore and nudged him back in before I could get the camera, but not a bad short session at all.

I have to figure something out for my boat soon...  this is going to be tough when the bite picks up!

The camera takes 12 MP pics, but I use the filters to get the most out of the pic.  I got quite good at navigating all of the functions rather than the one "auto-fix" button.
