How did it go?

I had 2 pull downs and nothing.. I thought I was gonna have a salad issue cause I did some light lining and it was all weeds all day.. But come night I had no problem..

I don't know what you're classifying as long range but I don't think rod power has anything to do with it.. I think it's more trolling or if you're just dropping a bait down.. From what I've seen (and I'm no expert) is you want a J hook when trolling.. Hope that helps..

Haha.. Classic part of fishing..

Mack tip... Use a 1 oz weight, a GREEN glow sick and whatever size hook you want.. Anchovy tail for bait and just start from half way down a pier somewhere working both sides till you find them... Keep casting and keep the glow stick where you can barely see it..

Honolulu... I know there's gonna be all kinds crazy sharks and I have someone who's gonna take me to some spots.. I'm just wondering about lures and that sort of thing.. Maybe land some trevally or a big cuda or something..
