So Roger has used a Motor Oil curly tail grub with an old school lead head for the last 60+ years... The last few years, he's finally broken down to using MC's swimbaits and now just finally evolved into using an LC!
I think he has a new favorite lure now... Fishing the incoming tide with a sardine style LC, he got blown up on in 2' of water.... He's been using 6# line the last few years which is even more impressive (and ballsy casting an $18 lure)
Whoosh... and an incredible fight as he said.

It must have been a little warmer this day... 33" inches!

Not too shabby Roger and a good week for you from multiple Corvina and a nice one at 26" to this 33" butt. Well done and the evolution of an old salt continues.

I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks, that's a nice Hali 8) 8)

LCFM on 6# has me feeling faint….that’s a real nice one. Lots of good sized halibut hitting decks this week…

Love that throat shot.

Stoked and jealous at the same time, I've came super close but yet to break that 30" barrier. Tell him congrats for me

I've known Roger for 22+ years and one thing was for certain.... unless temps were below 57 degrees, he wanted everyone to see his nipples. ;D

I feel like I'd recognize his nipples before his face 😂
