Found one on the beach in Carlsbad once.

We saw a back pack floating the other day a couple miles off shore. We pulled up to it hoping there would be stacks of money in it but it was empty.

Dead serious. Set up before light for a morning soak. It got light out and I looked over and saw it 30 feet away. About the size of a bag of concrete. I have pics somewhere.

The only time they dump the bundles is when they absolutely have to like when they are getting chased.
This leads me to believe that the boat sank. These guys are stupid enough to exceed the boats weight limit.
