ebay guy
« on: March 28, 2015, 06:24:13 PM »
I ordered an 8" AC plug Casitas for my fathers bday coming up April 1st.

The package arrived a few days ago but today I just got around to opening it.

Off first glance I noticed the packaging was dusty, red flag..

I opened it and noticed that the clear hook protectors were missing.

I began examining the lure and noticed cracking above the anal fin.

I contacted the buyer and explained this to him with a photo attached.

He went on to say that the lure was not in the condition that he sent it in. He even said i fished with it.

I was pretty pissed off at this point.

We exchanged a few more emails and he was still being a piece of Sh!t.

Decided to contact eBay and make a claim for their "money back guarante". I guess the way it works is that they will look into the matter and see if my case "qualifies".

We'll see what happens...

I've been very fortunate also.  If nothing is done by eBay, just leave a fair review of what happened.  Try to leave emotion out since most people looking to buy any items and read the reviews will find that much more helpful in their decision to go with them or not in the future.

Hope all works out for you.  If not, epoxy the crack or try to make it work.  Tough when buying things online.

I've gone through this process. Save all your correspondences, you're gonna need it.

eBay usually sides with the purchaser so you should be OK, it just takes a while.

I found it to be incredibly difficult to get a hold of a call center representative over at eBay. I needed to return an item to a seller that I had zero issue with, but the eBay rep was insistent that I file a malpractice-type claim. It all ended well, but eBay only seems to run smoothly when you're having a positive experience.

Glad it worked out.

My Ebay experience is pretty limited as well. Baseball bats and sputniks  ;D

Now Amazon on the other hand ... different story.
