Boat Cat
« on: September 21, 2016, 06:12:37 AM »
I can't remember if I posted this before, but long story short.  When I got my cat 18 years ago, I planned on making him a boat cat.  I would rock and shake him in a box when he was young to replicate the boat moving in the ocean and would put him in the tub to see if he could swim.

Once I met my wife, she fell in love with the cat and refused to let me take him out in the boat, so I never got to see how he would react.

18 years later and final stages of Kidney Failure, I had to see how he would respond.  I didn't have the boat running, so I grabbed a cat sized kayak and he loved it.  His face  is in constant grumpy mode from being an old ass cat, but I could tell he dug it.

You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Reminds me of Milo and Otis.  But older and grumpier.

Maybe now that the Boma is running again you can take him on his final journey when it's time to say goodbye  :'(

Only one reason to bring a cat on a boat. Can't think of any reason to bring it back off.

I love cats (no homo).

I grew up with cats.

That's a unique colored one and 18 is super old for one.

Knowing cats he would have been just fine on the boat. He'd probably hunker down in the most shelterd area.

We had a cat that we'd take campng.

I regularly try to gain the trust of the neighborhood cats. Gained the trust of one and pet it, one scratched me & hissed and the others run away ;D
