Sunday Paul braved absolutely snotty conditions to go find the fleet. Chloro maps have shown solid green all the way to the 43, and that's where they found THE ENTIRE fleet.
More than a dozen cattle boats and tons of PBs. Drift was speedy due to the high winds, and you needed 6 to 8 oz just to keep your bait down in the bite zone at about 150ft.
They saw tons of boats hooked up putting slobs over the side, and they quickly had some opportunities. Lost first several bites to gut hooked fish, but finally got one to stick.
1.5 hour fight, results a nice fish just shy of 100#. 2 hr ride back in - soaking wet.
Said it looked like a YFT when it came over, and the dock hand weighing the fish said YFT. But damn the pics look BFT and so did the meat. Calling it the YBFT ....
