Afterimage Rush fans play it.

"Suddenly you were gone, from all the lives you left your mark upon"

Neil Peart wrote those lyrics after the sudden death of a friend back on the Grace Under Pressure album.

Today Neil lost his battle with brain cancer. Afterimage is now a theme for the Rush fan today.

My favorite band forever and one of the greatest drummers and probably greatest lyricist in rock history.

"When I heard that he was gone I felt a shadow cross my heart" Nobody Hero"

Neil Peart will be missed indeed. That was terrible news.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

My heart goes out to his wife and daughter.

Many years ago his daughter died at 19 in a car wreck and soon thereafter his first wife died of cancer. He took some years off and it could have been the end of Rush. He worked through his loss, remarried, and had another daughter.

Cancer took his first wife and then took him leaving his second wife a widow. Farging heartless disease
