Well, this morning was not my dad's day. This picture is him looking into the water where his rod moments before flew over the rail and did the "Submarine". He told Theresa "It's not so bad, it was my son's rod". You gotta love his attitude

That’s a bummer, but I do appreciate his outlook.

UPDATE: A couple guys I know where fishing the same area last night, got a message at 2:30 this morning (I'm a early riser). They caught my dad's rod ;D

That's awesome.
I lost a rod that way but a batray or shark headed for Catalina with it.

I was so bummed for you at first, but so stoked to see you got it back! I need to channel your good energy and outlook on life.

Too funny!!!

Not too long in the drink. The way you service reels I’m sure the rig is probably already rebuilt and ready for pops again.

That's an amazing save 8)
