Boat Toys
« on: January 04, 2022, 09:37:50 PM »
Still waiting on the boat to be built so I figured I would get the necessary '' Toys '' before they become impossible to get ::) They were a chore to find anyone having them in stock but I managed to find a bundle package that included a Fish Finder /Chartplotter with a transducer and Radar   A 12'' screen should be enough for my one eye :-[

The Trolling Motor was also a chore because they are back ordered everywhere I looked, so I went ahead and ordered one with hopes it gets here by March  36V with 112Lbs of thrust & 72'' shaft

I went over budget by about 2k but I figured if I was to wait to add anything after the boat gets here it would cost even more or it would get put off and never happen, so bite the bullet and just be done and worry free ;)

Hope everyone has a great 2022 8)

What Len said, but those are some serious tools!  That boat will be ready for offshore, inshore and bay!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

To achieve the advertised radar distance it must be installed at the required height.

Did you get a 12 mile radar?

I believe it is a maximum of 36 miles and a minimum of 20 meters

That should be just enough range to get around Koga's Rainbow if he was out in the boat with you.  ;D
