I've been putting in extra solo parenting duties the past 2 weeks while the wife was busy with work, and having to comfort a friend who had a death in the family and going to a wedding that she threw me a bone and let me fish before the sun went down. That's a first!! I can honestly say the last time I fished while it was still light out was the SNBF. Damn
Hit a spot armed with macks. Brought 2 rods to increase my chances since I was fishing solo. First bait hit the water at 6:15p. Outgoing tide. Clean water, no kelp. The anticipation was at an all time high! Only thing missing were the grinners. Lots of critter bites, but the 12/0 hooks and big baits kept them safe for the most part. Went through lots of bait. Ended my night with a decent calico for lunch tomorrow.
Saw someone north of me a couple hundred yds away also fishing the long rod. I'm guessing someone from the board since they were using rod tip lights. How'd you do?
