Different beach, same results (7-18)
« on: July 19, 2016, 07:56:16 AM »
Got out for a solo sesh armed with macks. Hit the outgoing tide on a new to me beach. Looked like it could be fishy based on Google maps research. Gave it 1.5hrs for nada. Even had on a juicy and super fresh looking mack head, it was untouched. Made about a 150yd move north... nada. Surf is starting to come up compared to the past few nights. No kelp or eel grass to be seen. 2.5hrs total of fishing. Pretty sweet conditions, just no one home. Time on the sand...

Thanks for the beach intel, Mike.  I can't believe the sharks just went MIA.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Water temp is pretty warm (74C) which makes me think the grinners are out to deeper waters.  :(

Better put on your water wings and swim our baits then!

It happens. I haven't caught a shark since March but the spearos have been seeing them. Make sure you keep a perch in the water too. Or Corbina. Fish are weird sometimes and will only target one type of fish on any given night.
Keep it tight

Time to fish for Perch bait.

Steve and I fished for hours for fresh perch, but never caught a single one...
