School Night (9-18)
« on: September 19, 2016, 12:45:58 AM »
Had a small window to fish with my boys as it is a school night. If they get any thing less than 9hrs sleep, they lose their minds!

Hit Fiesta an hour before the tide bottomed ou at 5pmish,  not looking good. Brought the long rod and 2 critter rods with squid as the only bait. Nada the first hour, until the tide started to swing. 2 round rays and a baby diamond (pretty sure it is) was dragged up onto the sand by my boys.

Everyone has seen round rays unfortunately, so only took a pic of the possible diamond.

Maybe 18" across?? Caught during a double hookup.

Had 2 solid hits on the long rod, but was no where near it as I dealing with my boys and a potty break. Called it at 7:30pm. Vey short sesh, but fun with my spawn. Will get out soon and hopefully get a "real" fish. I've been quiet for too long.

I don't think you've been missing much, Mikey. The surf and bay have been slow the last few weeks, based on my experience anyway. I guess I should look on the bright side, I'm probably going to win the Summer Shark contest, do you have my prize ready yet?  ;D

Been a crazy bunch of time my friend! Glad to see you getting some water time while the sun is still up! Hoping things are starting to gell enough to get back in the briny sometime soon!

I guess I'll see you at the SNBF? Probably when I see Taylor too!  ;)

Well, you aren't missing much. I understand how life gets in the way. I'm just a text away if you decide to start practicing for the bat fight early.

The kids are getting so grown up!

Lots of baby diamonds back there right now.  I saw quite a few while corvina hunting the back bay last week.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
