Florida Bound

I've been working 12 hour shifts the last few weeks and starting to crack.  I'm heading to Florida with the family soon to visit family, but nothing comes easy.  Our rental apparently is under repair and won't be done by the time we get there.  All other options are pretty pricey since it's snowbird season, so we'll literally be staying with family (this makes it a non-vacation).

Luckily there are a bunch of ponds around, so there's some fishing to be had.  We're going to be in the middle of the state, so hopefully I can get to the surf one day.

I at least hope to get a new species or two from the creeks and ponds which would make it worth it.

Anyway, it's been quiet on the boards so just trying to drum up interest and see what everyone has going on.

Just working. Spending more time lately mixing my music. Listening to a lot of great music podcasts from people like Cory Wong, Questlove, and Rick Rubin so it’s inspired me to keep the mixing going while I don’t have space to make any real noise otherwise.

Fell off my early rising schedule a bit, so not getting out surf fishing as ravenously as I was for a few weeks there. Nevertheless have an LCFM tied on ready to hunt down my first halibut of the year. Maybe first legal. Next week looks great for it.

Hope it is a good trip, always fun to look for new fishing grounds Our annual trip to the desert for Turkey Day got cancelled so I'm in ''Firewood'' mode this time of year anyway so hopefully I'll land a few oak rounds    Enjoy Florida

Nothing new on this end, just cooking and walking with dad.  Fishing's been slow, hence no reports.  Be safe and have a great trip

Since this "Isn't a Fishing Trip" (from the wife), I had to be strategic when packing my bag with the little amount of tackle I'm bringing.  I definitely didn't want to miss out on some micro fishing, so ran to Sportman's Warehouse and picked up a little something that no one will even notice.  It is surprisingly pretty sturdy and the reel even feels solid!

Only reptiles I saw were brown and green anoles along with some hefty gators.  It was cold and rainy all week so they just hid apparently..

Well, the wife hoarded the computer last night, so no chance of me getting on.  I am trying to get a post up this morning at work, but my work internet blocked IMGUR, so I can't post any pictures.  I guess it will be later this afternoon, although probably many of you have already seen the pictures.
