Thanks guys. It was quite a fight and it hit bottom in the muck and couldn't be moved wihtout walking in. Tried to toss it back in and my foot went damn near knee deep in goop and I hadn't tossed it far.

Here I was on my ass in muck within tail range for a second or 2. Thankfully he didn't realize I was there.

I guess hippers are in order as I had to cut short due to cold and was still getting baits molested.

Once I sunk knee deep, pulled my legs out and was missing my shoes. Never did get them back..

Knee deep? That's nothing.

That's a big bat to deal with solo and in those conditions! Bravo! I believe there's a few people, maybe not on this site, that are still looking to get into that 50" and up club. You have been putting in time on the sand!

Im still not in that club. My last one 48.5" is the biggest ive been able to actually land. Ive caught bigger from a dock, but had no way to actually land and measure em..

It's all Tom and Don's fault! They "hooked" me on mud marlins and sharks!
