Boat Hunting and Shore Pounding
« on: February 07, 2016, 03:40:16 PM »
I planned on hitting up the local lakes and getting my limit of trout on, but decided to check out a boat instead and get a few hours in on the rocks.

The boat is an unbelievable deal, but one that needs some serious elbow grease.  It's a 19" aluminum bayrunner, but the boat needs a lot of TLC.  Deciding what to do.

Afterwards, I went down to the bay and some event thwarted my initial plans, so I just started working the shoreline.

It was a beautiful morning out there.

My first hour and a hald yielded nothing, but a found a small patch of small bass to get on the board.  I went 2 for 4 on 9" bass.  Nothing special, but I saw signs (bait, birds etc) that makes me think it may start to pick up here soon.

Decision time....

At least you weren't watching guys twenty feet away slay fish while you got one.

Good luck on the hunt.
