Met Steve out at a random beach that we had little faith in with the low tide, but it is usually the least weedy of the beaches.
I just cast my first bait out and within 15 seconds was on! The funny thing is this may be the first Shovel I caught down here while shark fishing in years! None-the-less, I was on the board!
Steve said he got a bass before I got there, but never saw the phantom calico.... so I will reserve counting him with a fish at this point. LOL
Beach seemed weed-free until I opened my big yap and got swamped with big kelp stringers.
Steve then got his grinner! He sported his favorite shark pose with it. Look at those teeth and mouth on that thing!
LOL, well it was a shark...
Weeds got atrocious, and we put one last bait out. Steve gets a nice bass to call it the night while I got a ball of grass.
We called it early to save the pain of reeling in more salad and stringers. Both of us got fish, so that's always a plus. We are pretty sure we saw Mike and a second person in the distance, but don't know if they struck gold or not.
Thanks for reading.
