Cool article and rad looking shark!
I'm curious to know, if they seem so lethargic and slow, how do they hunt/eat seals? Ambush? Do they pretend to be a floating log that the seal would want to rest on?
Slow and non intimidating doesn't alert any seals when the seals are feeding at the bottom. They can put forth a quick burst just to get some teeth on them or just not be aware when they are feeding to see the Greenland sneaks up on them. Those teeth are razor sharp and the seals might not make it from a good slice.
Truthfully, It has really not been witnessed or at least too often, but almost all the stomach contents of the harvested sharks have seal or seal parts in them. It's kind of like when the whalers would gut sperm whales and they would find the huge beaks of giant squid in them, but no squid body parts. It's just a gap in the science that some up and comer will capture on film sooner or later to give us definitive answers.
