7gill 3/6

Decided to fish a new spot I felt would be good.

Got to the sand and did a mile walk and set up.

Conditions were nice, just a bit of eel grass floating around.

Sent out a mack.

No bites for a while so I re applied the fresh bait now and then.

Got picked up and shortly into it I knew what it was :)

Got it to the skinny to see him thrashing around violently.

Put my rod under my arm and drug him up the beach.

Taped out at 84"

Put him back into the water and he swam straight out to sea.

(Are you guys having a hard time seeing the pics? They came out pretty dark on my screen.)

Congrats Eric on the rebound trip!  That's a beauty for sure!

The pics are a little dark, but very viewable.   8)

I updated my database spreadsheet.  Was that a male or female?  I put female, but can't see for certain.

Very nice 7 for sure man, awesome your plan all worked out for the best...were you wading out a good distance to cast, or just off the dry sand?

Nice one, dude! How much weight do you think you are casting out in total? 6oz sinker + 6oz mack?

Nice job, lots of 7s in North VC. Just curious did you go south of the spot I met you at? Because that at times can be a great spot.

SB Seven? I think that the estuary where you were staying has soupfins. I've had some nights where I get my ass whooped on mystery fish that feel like leopards on steroids. Good job on locating a new spot to slay sharks!
