: Epic Conditions (5/29)

I scouted some beaches and found some great looking conditions at one beach in general.

Surf - Two feet
Wind - Calm
Salad - Mostly Absent
Temperature - A little Cooler than Normal
Water Color - Clean, Clean, Clean
Grunion Run - First Night

We stopped for beer and Tacos and headed down to the beach.  Things looked great to say the least.

Fished until 10:00 p.m.  with only a couple of small bites....  and.........

That was it.  Nothing, Nada, Zilch....  We packed it in and headed home.  I swear we never catch anything when there are perfect conditions.  It always seems like things have to be rough out in order to get a shark to bite.  LOL

Thanks for reading and will someone catch one soon!

I feel your pain Tom, we made the 130 mile round trip to the grounds last night.  Beach one was full of grass, but moved 10 minutes away beach two was flat and grass free.  Did I mention it was also "shark free"?  Denny hooked up but we instantly knew it was the wrong kind, better him than me.  Taped out at 49"   ;D

Seemed good. Maybe if we were tough like Mike.

You mean hardheaded enoigh to stick it out far longer than you should for nada. I fished a bunch for the same results, but with crappier conditions.

The difference between hardheaded and hardcore is whether you catch a fish or not ;D
