I've been going through my gear and came across a rod that really needs some use. It's an Offshore Angler 15 foot, 3 piece long rod. Medium Heavy, Model PS-15S.
Here is a picture of the rod in action with a nice bat ray that was subdued.
I am loaded with long rods already and thought that throwing up a little competition between the registered members for the biggest leopard shark for the month of May would be fun... and who doesn't need another rod anyway, right?
The rules are simple:- Longest Leopard Shark measured from tip of tail to tip of nose. (Need full picture of taped leopard)
- Must have taut tape of the leopard as it will be up to my discretion based on the picture to take length away for loose tape shots.
- Must be caught from the shoreline. Surf, Bay or Rocks... NO DOCKS, Bulkheads or PIERS
- The contest starts on May 1st at midnight and ends on May 31st at 11:59 pm
- The competition is for an Offshore Angler 15 foot (3 piece) MH long rod, Model PS-15S
- There is no reel with this rod, the competition is for ROD ONLY.
- I will arrange of pick up for the winner if local in San Diego. If the winner is from OC or LA, then I will arrange to get the rod up there somehow for you unless you want to pay for shipping. I'm not sure what shipping would be, but I just bought a few blanks and they cost me $26 and $28 respectively, so I would assume it would be around that number
- This is not a Prehistoric Soul contest, just me as a member on the boards wanting to hook up someone with a spare rod I have laying around.
There pretty easy stuff, so don't try and make it difficult. LOL
