The usual Thursday night sesh for Binh and I. Hit a beach we rarely fish, I'm not fond of the stairs. I really need to get in shape. Fresh macks were the offering. Acutally, mine were so fresh I could still feel and smell the slime on them.
I set up north of Binh, much to his chagrin
Baits in the water 30mins pre-peak high tide. I get the first "real" bite as my clicker starts screaming. I tear myself away from Candy Crush and begin to tease Binh that I hooked up first. 10 seconds into the run, my line goes slack. Ugh!! Reel it in to find the bait was dropped, but the mack head was still usable. I should've kept my big mouth shut! Not long after karma paid me a visit, Binh is on. Vintage soupfin battle and I have the sand hand duties.
68" Soupfin
The pressure is on! The soak and Candy Crush games continue. An hour after the peak high, I finally get a 2nd chance and I don't gloat. This one fought much larger than he actually was at 66".
Obviously I took Binh's picture, but Binh's pic of me always sucks. It looks like he took from the top of the stairs. SMH. Stoked that we both got one!
