Dolphin am 1/2 day 11/20
« on: November 22, 2016, 05:24:33 PM »
Short and sweet, fishing was tough, I really liked the boat and deckhands were awesome.
Got a bunch of short cudas, lots of short  calicos, and some rockfish.
Jp was a 1" past legal long.
Highlight for me was bringing up a calico on torium 30 and getting rocked  immediately, had to go aaround the boat for a few minutes till it got spit up, and when I landed the short calico its fins were crushed and scales missing, deckhands all agreed bsb
I'll definitely try that boat again.

All I can think about was whether or not you scored some macks or bonies for shark bait ;)

Those BSB are some awesome fish.  Unfortunately, I've been cursed with them when the yellowtail or WSB bite is on and I waste all of my time fighting a BSB just to have to release it.

Well, glad you got out and got to hook something interesting!  Now it's time to get back out on the sand and get some sharks!  lol
Thanks for sharing the trip.  I was wondering how you guys did.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Good to see you getting out.

Bet it felt good to be out on the open water again.

We"ll have to hook up on a boat this coming season.....

Cool report Ray! Glad you got out and did some fishing. Rockfish tastes great! Hope you kept em? That must have been a fun battle on  the BSB. I know they love Calicos!  8)
