So Squatch and I decided to try a night run and see if we could get some peace back into our minds after this 5-6 week hiatus. Boy, was I wrong! Waves of people, all crowded together and no one wearing masks but me. I'm not sure Squatch minded as much as I did, but I didn't spend the last 6 weeks being proactive to let this future swarm of living dead to take me out.
I did the bob and weave from people when waves would show up looking for the glowing red tide.
I got a nice bend and bob in the rod, but grabbed the rod too quickly and got it away from him. I reeled in and cast the bait out to what I hoped was the exact spot and this time got him hooked!
Funny, but this was a very "manageable" sized one, so the battle wasn't like "please don't break off" and the surf tail grab was just right.
Liquor store frozen mackerel head. Incoming tide. 69" Male. 2'-5' surf. Waxing Crescent
Finally! The shark list is looking bleak because of this Quarantine!
