It's looking like a Big One!

Maybe Dodo from the piers and maybe a great shot at hammerheads from the surf?  Stories like this get the mind racing!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Hammerhead from the surf could be a reality. I believe some were taken off piers during some previous El Ninos.

Hopefully it happens like '98. We reeeeally need the rain. And the fishin is a super bonus, I've seen pictures from back then of a dude who caught 2 scalloped head hammers from south SD Bay and some sort of Jacks I think they were green Jacks ... lemme see if I can dig up the photos from another website.

Here they are, dudes names Scott Johnson I belive, he was the former owner of fish trix jetty worms.

Oceanside Pier had a photo of a Hammerhead caught from there but I don't remember the year, but it had some size to it. Definitely not holding with one hand.

I would imagine a "surf caught" hammer would be much bigger but to be in south san diego  bay any hammer head is a big catch in my book, but that's jus my 2 pesos...
