Decided to fish the VC 7 spot again even though the tides weren't ideal but the surf was too nice to resist.
Landed 2 with 2 other runs leaving shredded bait behind.
First up was this nice 83" male Seven.
*edit*
Forgot to mention this Seven had an old wound to his left gill set. 1-2 gill slit covers were missing causing a huge gap on that side. I wish I had taken a pic.
*edit*
This was followed by 2 full clicker runs that did not catch the hook but left shredded baits behind.
Finally this beautiful big girl came to play.
101" female Seven.
Not sure why, but all my sharks this year have come from just 1 of my rods. For whatever reason, the other rod always seems to end up casting into a crab or lobster pot. This is all I kept bring in on the second rod. I had even put a whole frozen sardine on it once that came back looking like your typical fish skeleton after just 15 minutes. The only thing left was tail, backbone, and head. lol
