Had a couple days off to take my girl to the horse show, so I decided it was an opportunity to fish late.
Met up with Ray who was already at the scene and he reported a small leopard. Thats encouraging, so I set up and got to soaking bait.
A little later, I see Ray battling something that was really taking him for a ride. Well, not really, looked more like a bait check.
Little more time goes by and I get a good bend in the rod, grab it just in time to feel a pop as the fish comes off. Crap.
Then Ray gets bit again. Says its heavy but not running too much. That can only be one thing.
This one was pretty amped up on the tail grab. 95", nice fish.
By now Ray has gotten a taste of the start work at 6 life and asks how much longer I was staying. Probably still make fun of us old guys though. I was ready to stick around a lot longer, but the dark clouds that blocked the view of the space station passing over started to rain on us. Not a hard rain, but no sense getting soaked, so I packed up and we split.
Keep this stuff up and my wife will be calling you "Stupid Ray."
