Went on a road trip this past weekend, up to Marin County, to visit some friends. I decided to do a little fishing while I was up that way. My wife and her girlfriend chose wine tasting, a lot of wine tasting. While they were getting tipsy, I was getting skunked all over town
. The winds were gusting at 23 to 25 mile per hour. The winds died down a bit on my last day up there. So I decide to give it the old college try once again, and I was still getting skunked
. However, I did meet some really great people at my last location. Joaquin Gutierrez, his daughter Brianna Gutierrez, and Joe Castro, they were catching everything from crabs, to bat rays, leos, and rock fish. They notice things were not going well for me, so they offered a few suggestions, to no avail. They start to pack up and call it a day. Then Joaquin, and Joe, both suggested that I meet them later that evening at another spot. So, after consuming a medium round table pan pizza, I decide to give it the old college try once again. This time things worked out
. It was a bat fest. Joaquin and Joe both pulled in bats that measured 56 inches. Joe, pulled in another one that was pushing 60inches. I caught two that were in the 30 plus range and a nice sand shark.
