Fishing Talk / Re: New Rockfish Regs Took Effect
« on: April 21, 2024, 04:30:10 AM »
I was hoping they would drag their feet for a bit, guess not. Cyclops is getting wet tomorrow with Janie and the boys. Plan is to see if they want to go outside the Bay and try a spot or two but something tells me they will pull the ''I feel sick'' card and we will made it a Family Day inside  SD Bay. Doesn't really matter cause I haven't been in the salt since Sept. of last year. Weather looks nice regardless. Hope to have something to report.

Have a great time Tim

Work just informed us the week before that many layoffs are coming soon, so I just planned on taking my Vitamin Sea and giving the boat a shakedown trip

Gotta love the way you think Tom, good luck with the job.  Your post made me realize how much I miss the boat

The days of swinging a Maul and a Wedge to split wood makes my body cringe these days, Log Splitters are a man's best friend for sure.

At one point in my life I had two wants.................(1) a cement mixer and (2) a wood splitter.

Nice bass, the proximity to the house is killing me.  Digging the painted rock

I'm hanging in there, Theresa is a grade "A" nurse.  No idea it was going to hurt this much.  My whole leg has doubled in size

Fishing Accessories / Steering cable
« on: April 07, 2024, 03:46:37 PM »
Put the boat in this morning around 6:00, back on the trailer by 6:15.  The steering cable is way to stiff, so gonna do something.  Not sure if I'm going to replace the cable (involves removing motor) or installing hydraulic steering.  Any thoughts and or experience?  Thanks in advance, Verne

Very good, a perfect way to spend a day off.  Gotta ask, what's a Paisan?

Even though it was a fruitless trip, it felt great just to chill in the truck, listening to music, meanwhile having a few rods just 20' soaking away

That would work for me  ;)

You get skunked??

No comment....

Been the story of 2024 for me, it's been tough
